Every Challenge Made the Product Better
Building Memo meant solving real product problems, not just writing clean code. Privacy architecture, cross-platform consistency, complex media handling, and a subscription engine that actually works under pressure. Here's where most of the hard thinking happened.
End-to-End Encryption Without Killing Performance
It might seem simple to implement true E2E encryption of photo and video storage, but it becomes more complex at scale. We needed to ensure that reads and writes were super fast while maintaining the privacy we had built around our product.
Cross-Platform Consistency Across iOS and Android
Memo had to feel the same on both platforms and have the same interactions, speed, and visual weight. It took more iterations than I had hoped to get biometric authentication, in-app camera behavior and album syncing to work uniformly across iOS and Android.
Media Handling for Photos, Videos and USB Uploads
Supporting uploads from phones, memory cards, and USB storage while keeping the experience clean was genuinely tricky. We had to build a media pipeline that handles multiple input sources without making the interface feel complicated or cluttered.
Subscription and Payment Infrastructure That Holds Up
Incorporating Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and card payments into one subscription flow is never as easy as it sounds. The payment layer has been developed to deal with failures, renewals, and plan upgrades without disrupting the user experience.

Memo in the Real World. Here's What the Numbers Show
4.8Stars on Launch Day
Memo hit a 4.8 App Store rating within two weeks across iOS and Android, with users praising the clean interface and privacy-first experience.
10,000+Albums Created in the First 30 Days
Users created over 10,000 memory albums within the first month, confirming the core product concept was working exactly as Sarayu Vibes had envisioned.
99.8%Uptime Through the First 90 Days
Zero major outages, no data loss incidents, and encrypted storage running at full speed through the entire post-launch support window.
78%Subscription Conversion Within First 60 Days
Nearly 8 in 10 active users converted to a paid plan within two months, driven by a frictionless payment flow across all supported methods.
The Tech Stack Behind Memo
Memo needed a stack that could handle encrypted media, cross-platform sync, and a subscription engine without breaking a sweat. We picked every tool deliberately, with performance and long-term maintainability in mind.

JetpackHow We Took Memo from Concept to Launch
All our decisions for Memo were clear and accountable. Six phase, each phase has a clear owner, and no place for the ambiguity that would kill any product timeline.
Discovery & Requirement Gathering
We sketched all features, user flows and technical restrictions before a single line of code was written. The scope for this phase was the product scope, its features, and the architecture choices that follow it.
UI/UX Design
First the wireframes and then high fidelity screens around Memo's serene and privacy-centric personality. Each interaction has been thought out for its user: adults looking for organization without a lot of clutter.
Development
It was developed concurrently on both iOS and Android devices, both frontend and backend. We developed the encryption layer and media pipeline, in-app camera, editing tools and admin panel simultaneously, with weekly sprints to maintain momentum and to identify issues in early stages.
Quality Assurance & Testing
All of the features were tested systematically on various devices and operating systems before advancing. Stress tests were performed on each of the biometric login, payment flows, cross-platform sync, and encryption storage capabilities, far exceeding normal use.
Deployment & App Store Submission
We handled the full submission process for both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including compliance checks, metadata and build configuration. The admin panel was deployed and handed over with detailed documentation.
Post-Launch Support
Our staff provided dedicated support in the first 90 days after launch. The team at Sarayu Vibes was able to concentrate on growth because they had bug fixes, minor feature adjustments, and performance monitoring covered.

Thinking about building your own app?
Memo started as an idea too. We handled everything from architecture to launch, and we can do the same for you. No vague timelines, no surprises, just a team that delivers.
